DP Seniors Begin First Step to College Life

May 1st was the big deadline for seniors to accept the college they wanted to attend. By that day, seniors should have submitted their Statement of Intent to Register. Then deposits must be made to save a spot at the school.

This is one of the first important decisions students have to make for themselves. Though some are nervous about their choice, seniors should be proud of their achievements. This transitions marks a time of change and discovery, one where students begin to solidify their identity in the world.

Students are going to a wide variety of schools, from the University of Redlands to the University of California, Santa Barbara, Berkeley, and Los Angeles. California State Universities are also a popular option. Some students also plan to go to a community college and transfer after two years.

Soon students will prepare to begin this next chapter of their lives. Whether they will be staying in California or traveling outside the state, there will be many valuable opportunities available to them. Daniel Pearl High School wishes them all the best of luck and hopes they enjoy the journey.
