AP test season has officially ended for students, marking an end to this stressful time. AP tests are important because they provide an important opportunity for high schoolers to gain valuable college credit. A combination of AP test credit and community college classes can be very effective in limiting the classes needed in university. Daniel Pearl High School offered 8 AP classes in the 2017/18 school year, but it isn’t required to take the class for the test. But the best way to prepare is with a dedicated teacher.

Scores are released in July. For seniors going to college, it is important to send scores so that any credits can be provided. For students planning out their 2018/19 school year,  it may be helpful to go on https://apstudent.collegeboard.org/apcourse to see recommended courses. Those going into certain majors may want to look into taking AP tests related to those fields, regardless of whether they are offered on campus. Even without fee waivers, the cost of an exam is much cheaper than taking a class at university.

Students do have to look out for making sure they are prepared to pass the exam. In junior and senior year especially, there always seems to be another test or application to complete. Time is limited and goes by faster than many may want. Emotions begin to swirl into an overwhelming mess of stress and anxiety.  But remember, every year millions of students go through the same process and make it to see the light of day. Don’t be discouraged because the work you do will have an impact in your life.
