Syuzanna Darbinyan, witness to the 2014 Ukrainian Revolution
The Revolution of Dignity, also known as the Maiden Revolution, occurred in 2014 because of the pro-Russian developments created by Viktor Yanukovych, who had been Ukraine’s president at the time. In the end, Yanukovych was forcibly removed from his presidency. Syuzanna Darbinyan was a DPMHS student who left Ukraine because of the severe violence that happened during the revolution.
